Fantastic $30 Cartography Software Bundle Represents a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

Following a short availability earlier this year, the Map Making Mega Bundle has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Hailed as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package carries a value of more than thirteen hundred dollars. And there are three different bundles offered in this deal.

Primary Feature

The big draw is definitely permanent access to the CC3+ software, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to generate various types including fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Bundle Tiers

Basic Package

The most affordable option, starting at just one dollar, includes only four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This package suits cartographers who already have CC3+, yet it provides fresh fantasy design elements for landscape mapping, more than 750 monster tokens compatible with online gaming platforms, more than two dozen aerial castle designs including hundreds of map markers, eight complete urban centers, and more than 70 urban floorplans.

Intermediate Package

The eight-item bundle for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Tome of Ultimate Mapping, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. Cartographer's Annual is the yearly bundle from ProFantasy's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons like map collections and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you present urban areas in 3D perspective with isometric views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

All 17 volumes from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content that can help users design entire planets or galaxies, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, underground complexes, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character illustrations. For $30 as opposed to $15, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies since it includes introductory guides to help you get started. The one caveat here though the purchase is available across platforms, the software is only usable on Windows.

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief.
